Theme and aims of the conference:
Rehabilitation is a complex process consisting of several stages. Difficulties caused by a serious injury or operation can only be handled with the help of a rehabilitation team using an interdiscilinary approach. Elements of rehabilitation are medical, social, psychological, environmental and vocational rehabilitation. Psychological rehabilitation has a very important role in the entire rehabilitation activity. Incapability of coping with the situation and incomplete processing of the trauma can set back the rehabilition procedure. It also can lead to psychological disorders and the disintegration of the family. Psychological rehabilitation supports the client and the family in coping with the situation and in processing the trauma. It motivates the person with disability to take part in rehabilitation actively. With the help of psychological rehabilitation the client become again a full member of family and society. The aim of the conference is to discuss the place of psychological rehabilitation within rehabilitation, to call the attention of professionals and decision-makers to the importance of an interdisciplinary approach of rehabilitation and to present new methods, therapies and research results in the filed of psychological rehabilitation.
