60 Years anniversary COPA Denmark. 27 August 2011, Vejle, Denmark.

 

The oldest patient association for ostomates in the world was celebrating its 60 years anniversary on Saturday the 27th August 2011.

The ostomy association COPA in Denmark celebrate the day with a big all day arrangement in the city Vejle.

The day will end with a banquet and dance. The participants in our jubilee are representatives from EOA, the Nordic ostomy associations, all our collaborators and last but not least many of our members.

Many of our regional committees have their own arrangements, making it possible for a great number of our members to participate in the association’s 60 years jubilee.

All manufactures and suppliers of ostomy aids will be present to meet the ostomates. All interested persons can get advice and guidance about the newest ostomy aids.
The President of COPA, Henning Granslev, opened the afternoon program.

The first speaker was amember of the Danish Parliament and the Health Service committee
Mrs. Karen J. Klint.

The famous TV-doctor Peter Qvortrup Geisling, told about his work.
It was a humorous speech with a lot of laugh.

The audience listen with great attention to the performance of docter Geisling.

Other presentations are from specialists in new techniques relating to colo-, ileo- and urostomy operations, and an ostomy nurse will inform about her field of activity, and a father to a child with bowel (faeces) problems tells about the problems, that the parents and the child have in normal everyday life.

The 20/40 Focus Youth Group was also present.

The delegation of Sweden in person of Marie Steen presented Henning a nice drawning of him self.

The EOA presented COPA a huge currant bread, a special gift from the region were Ria lives.

The day ended with a banquet and dance till the small hours of the night.
